Patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM) have an increased risk of developing cancer, particularly within 3 years of IIM diagnosis.
The SCRIM (Scoring system for Cancer Risk in idiopathic Inflammatory Myositis) is a predictive tool that estimates the cancer risk at the time of IIM diagnosis.
